I Still

I Still

I see you and wanna hold you

Want to touch you and kiss you all over

Your smile is radiating

I still feel for you

I still want you to be my lover

Still want more than you can handle

You are beautiful and completely magnificent

Your mind is remarkable

Your body is defined

Your soul is a heart of gold

I still love you

You may not think so

But I get so tongue-tied when you are near

That I would much rather express what I feel on paper

I just don't understand what is you see in me

I still love your style

From your wavy hair right down to the rock solidness of your arms

I still love the softness of your eyes

And the tender way you kiss

I still love the compassion you show to others

And the way you speak

The way you carry yourself with such confidence is what I love the most about you

That confidence has helped to make me stronger, and a little more bold

I love you more each time that I see you

I want you mind, body, and soul

But I am just not sure you are ready for me

Take me for who I am

Take me for what I could be

You are all that and so much more

A school nerd with potential to outshine all the rest

Beautifully unique and wonderfully spiritual

I can see us walking hand and hand

I can see us talking late into the night

I can see so much more that you don't even realize

I want to be more than just a friend

I want to be your companion, your lover, your soulmate

Destiny brought us together

And only destiny could bring us apart

My strong arm

My sword and shield in the middle of the wield

Oh, how I wish you could see me

Feel me

Understand me

But you just don't see that I want more

Won't you please let me in to comfort you

Let me be your shelter from the cold

I still love you more than words can say

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
