I REMEMBER
There was a time you'd spit fire into me with your rhythmic rhymesto make my body lay like leaves that blow through on a breezy day
floating within your air of admiration made it hard to breathe you in prospectively...
Once a word from you rang truth into my ears so loud the sound of your deception tuned into my selective hearing and I would sleep through your lullaby of lies memorized by the soothing pitch that was only for my listening pleasures...
Your electricity sparked flames and third degree burns because you gazed into my soul and I stuck to you like grapes to a vine but I aged with time passing us by you grew old and took tolls on my weary quest for your vintage taste...
There are stilled moments when I can recall how the smell of your sweet scent would captivate me and memories flow to me like your melody that played my heart strings like a symphony of loves past and now amongst the silence I can hear the tunes of my contentment sing me to life...
