I Hold You In My Arms

I remember how it first was,
When I first held you, in my arms.
    How we gently kissed,
    And heavily laughed.

Whenever we argued, I felt like crying.
And if I thought you didn't love me anymore,
    I'd feel like dying.
But, now I can't hold you in my arms anymore,
I feel so low, I'm beneath the floor.

I want to hold you in my arms,
Love you and start a new,
But you barely recognize me anymore,
You turn away, and I realize we're through.

I hold you in my arms.
    But now you've gone,
Like the blink of an eye,
Please come back to me, my love.
    Please try.

I hold you in my arms,
But no matter what I try.
I still hold you in my arms,
    As you gently die.

Why does love sometimes turn out this way, that we remember ti so deeply ... and that is supposed to make us go seeking / searching for it again? Yes, everytime, for it was life and we want it back, better than before, a fading memory is a good thing. I liked the write, its along the lines of my material, keep it up, both writing and sharing.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
