    Poem Commentary

thinking first can settle the matter best. silence on the other hand is sometimes loud.

    i have spoken it

    speaking into the atmosphere
seeing changes take place before me
    having what you say
    i spoke a word today
matter of fact, it is so i have spoken it
this word is not able to come back void
what i have spoken shall come to pass
reaching to whom it was sent
whether they receive it or not
be careful what you say to me
    in answer to your thought
spoken loud and does not rest
the words of my mouth are connect to sight
they are not for but a test
i have spoken it at best
    spoken it in the atmosphere
let those who have an ear hear

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
