    I Asked...

I asked only to hear the sound of your voice
When I call out to you.
The consolation of knowing you were near.
No, I asked not for money,
Nor vast amounts of your precious time.
All I needed was the sound of your voice
    Telling me everything was alright.
    But nothing is alright.
I am more alone than ever,
But I'll not call out for you again.

Like te baby who's cry is not answered, eventually doesn't cry anymore. The one who is never touched begins to dislike the feeling. I am sorry not one of us could have been there for you. good write....

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
