How can I say thank you
For the many things you've been
Because for me you wear a hat of honor
To me you've been a friend
How can I say thank you
For the many things you've done
Looking briefly back over my life I see
The dangers I've come from
I've walked along a road
That I could always hide
The discontentment I was feeling
Way down deep inside
I can see the pain and grief
Just as it's always been
And although many times you saw it too
Still you wanted in
So into my life you walked
To show me how to live again
To show me how to live a peaceful life
With Jesus as my friend
So this is just a little token
To say thanks for all that you do
Most of all it is meant to say
I appreciate you
