How do you say goodbye
Ho do you say goodbye when you’ve barely said hello
Ignoring the ticking time bomb as time passes by
Never letting my feelings show
It seems unfair to let go of you
I don’t know if I even can
I imagine I will feel empty with nothing left inside but lost
So often now I stop to watch you do the most mundane things
Taking a snap shot in my head
Wondering if it will be the last time
I want to cradle you in my arms like a child
To protect you,
But mostly to feel your heart still beating strong—we will all be fine
You have always had a strength I could not attain to
I never knew how you could endure so long
Every mess always brought out the best in you
If life is the same for you and I
And God can be just as big in mine
Then bring on Glory now—its time I had my share
I need something strong to hold onto to
Up until now that has always been you
I don’t really know what the change is gonna do—but I feel strong
It seems you lived your life always giving
Never compromising your faith for a living
Not so busy working to remembered to ask how we were
The thought of losing you is something I cant think on too long
It brings misery to mind
I’m just not sure that I can sing your song—but I will try
What will I ever do if your gone
How will this life carry on
Cause you know you’ve swallowed up my heart with your song
Ignoring the ticking time bomb as time passes by
Never letting my feelings show
It seems unfair to let go of you
I don’t know if I even can
I imagine I will feel empty with nothing left inside but lost
So often now I stop to watch you do the most mundane things
Taking a snap shot in my head
Wondering if it will be the last time
I want to cradle you in my arms like a child

But mostly to feel your heart still beating strong—we will all be fine
