How could you?

How could you?

you’ve missed nineteen years of my life
And now you expect me to forgive you.
How do I do that?
Or should I even do that?
Never once have you tried to find me
And now that you are
that’s suppose to make it all better?
You’re wrong!
You missed everything
And that means nothing.
How does that work?
You were suppose to be there
But you never were
So now you have to get use to the fact that
I’m not there whenever you want me to.
Maybe now you will know how I have felt for nineteen years!
Hopefully you’ll change
But I doubt that after all this time!
You go your way and ill go mine.
Maybe we’ll meet again…
But hopefully not!!!

This poem needs a bit of structural editting, Ashley! I plan to discuss that in a Private Message (PM) with you. Very emphatic and fervent piece, almost perfect in diction, but a bit too vitriolic, though down-to-earth and unpretentious. Once again , you display that you possess a clear pseudo- prosaic or quasi-poetic style of writing poetry.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
