The way things are today
No wonder people fade away
Into the dark abyss
There nothing more than bliss
I wish you could understand it takes more to be a man, a mother and a father.
You cannot expect kids to raise themselves.
They need more than that you see
They need to know what they need to get by
No one is teaching them that
Except the streets and street cats
No one has time because all the bills are to high
No one wonders whats going wrong why the shootings
Why this didn't happen before
Things have changed and are changing daily
Someone needs to be there for these kids to teach them
Life is not a movie or a show if you blow someone away
That is where they go
They don't get the chance to breathe again
To be your best friend or live again
I just don't know what's going on but we have to do something before all innocence is gone.
