H.O.P.E. (Holding Onto Predestined Endeavors)

Once in awhile we lose sight of life,

Would not be standing if not for one stripe.

So quick defeat settles like poison from a snake,

Struggling trying to make it, how much does it take?

Lose a job, lose a lover, lost possessions, lose a friend,

Of all these things, which keeps you and goes with in the end?

Standing then sitting, climbing then falling;

Giving up hope is like spitting as His mauling!

Just as a sea turtle must get weary towards the shore,

The drive within has got to be powered up more and more.

Prematurely ejecting out of destinations cockpit,

Be strong, keep believing—only you can unlock it!

No matter how hard, no matter how long,

No matter how right, no matter how wrong.

Hope is in knowing to overcome is just the start,

To get there requires passion, burning through a whole heart.

Failure is not an option, without testimonies we surely would die,

How else could we exemplify hope—the proof for you and I?
