-Heartbreak-

You found the path to my heart,
The door was unlocked,
That was the start of you breaking my heart.

I loved you back then,
Back when I was blind,
I couldnt see what you were doing to me.

When the pain started to come,
My eyes opened a little,
Then you werent the only one I saw,
I saw another who loved me for me,
Yet, I still couldnt see.

I started wondering
How could I leave you
After all the time that I loved you.

I was half blind
Started to think it was okay
As long as I loved you,
I didnt relize it wasnt you I loved,
It was the other.

The other opened my eyes,
Then I could see
And it Surprised me that,
You were seeing others behind my back.

I NEVER once thought of leaving you,
Until then,
It broke my heart to see you with them,
Hearing you making plans to leave me for them.

You knew I didnt deserve
A broken heart,
You couldnt tell me you didnt love me,
you didnt know, I already knew.

I see now I did the right thing,
I know I loved you, You never loved me,
It hurt so much to leave you behind,
All you said was "Ok, Goodbye."

I wanted to kiss you, hug you, one last time,
But I didnt, I couldnt,
It killed me inside.

If it wasnt for you, I wouldnt be me,
You were the first one I loved,
But you couldnt stay.

Now I love the other,
I couldnt be happier,
I guess all I want is to say,
Thanks for breaking my Heart.

Wow, that's beautiful! I can feel the raw emotion. I'm glad that you're happy now cuz some people never get over the grieving of another lover.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
