Haiku Part 4: Appeal

Haiku Part 4: Appeal

I was found guilty
A clock strikes with surreal peace
I think of deceased

In my room, I lie
Surrounded by my denial
For another trial

I eat my last meal
Words cannot tell how I feel
Young death is unreal

Minutes are freedom
Slipping through the hands of some
When will people come?

I see blurry faces
Those who relate to my case
Night time shrouds the place

While people watch, I die
Trying to remain conscious
I only ask 'why?'

This is hard core as well, another great haiku, :) WS

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
