Graveyard Song
I put you in your grave and you were still mine
If you’d stayed in your grave it would have been fine
But no one ever really does what they’re told…
Not you or I
Creatures such as we are far too bold.
Up you came, a name falling from your lips--
My name…!
Grave mould swinging form your hips
Cracking your power against the stone tomb
Daring it to resist you…
A chuckle, a breath against my ear
“Guess who?”
And then a flash of fear…
You tore my flesh when you stroked my face
And broke my bones with the hugs you gave
And when I could no longer move on my own
You drug me back to where we both belong
Deep in earth
Buried and alone.
For creatures such as we are far too bold
We know where we feel right
This is our creation…
Our world of dark delight…
No one had to tell us what we reap is what we’ve sown
Your kisses were the sweetest poison
I have ever known
