    Goodbye

Comfort me no more for my mind is gone

lost in the wind that was strongly blown

far away to a land not known

never to return back to its home

slightly damaged our are paths that crossed

and beat less hearts that seem to get tossed

to the side were there swept away

into the trash is were they'll stay

so I cry no more and I lose my days

where my sanity seems to be calm and dismayed.

I’m tired of running and hurting inside

so I can only say that my tears mean goodbye.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
