    Gods work

Look what christ did, upon that wood cross,
don't let it therefore, become a great loss.
We should be glad, to fill such a void,
our hope is to be, spiritually employed.
No longer can we, just warm up a pew,
ask our great God, Lord, what can I do?
Now our Gods work, is never quite done,
I pray to the Father, Spirit, and Son.
Let's get together, and labor and pace,
'til we can see, the light of His face.
Don't let the worlds cares, our lives interrupt,
or we may become spiritually bankrupt!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
