God looked down upon the world
and He gave us one blessing more
He gave us you, so that we might see
the wonders behind heavens door

An angel you are, straight from his throne
in my heart there can be no doubt
for my eyes perceive a beauty unmatched
whose praise i must sing and shout

I cannot deny, in good faith or trust
the miracle you most certainly are
i'd sooner deny the mystery and wonder
and the magic of a shooting star

So down on my knees, humble and awed
i give thanks for this gift that is you
a gift i'll cherish for all of time
till all that is must begin anew
