    ghosts

i wished a thousand dreams to you of me
    so you may remember me
i screamed my love for you into the wind
so it may carry my soul to you
    [wherever you are]
    words dancing on my lips
    becoming something of a sore
now my only hope is my ghost
    and yours

i whispered what i kept inside
    [finally]
    into the wind
    it broke like chimes
    into infinite symphony
(oh take it to your mind)
my love for you can never die
    wherever you may be

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
