    Future memories

    I'm building a castle
    in my past
    where my memories
    shall live

    I'm building a castle
    now
    before my lanes
    become clogged, flodded, vanished.

    I'm building a clastle now
when I can still embark in a two-way trip.

When my lanes become clogged, flodded, vanished,
I will settle in my castle
I will live of my memories
    (the good and the bad)
    But solely mine.

I will live in my castle
    which you shall search
with the eager hopelessness of an El Dorado seeker.

Sounds like someone may of hurt you, as the main image is one of a castle (a strong refuge). I send you light and goodness to surround you.

Thanks. More than whatever hurt I might feel, I am concerned with forgetting. I want to be able to remember things, even the apparently meaningless. Somehow, those little things sometimes give character to our lives.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
