Because I knew

Because I knew

Your plan
to bury me under the mud,
chop my flesh
tear my bones
trash my soul

Because I knew
your plan
to deceive me
to drag me down

I stayed away,
far away,
where you captured me
anyway

I see now why the castle, somehow you did escape or you would not be free to write. May healing come swiftly to free you internally from the memories.

Thanks for your comment. Yes I manages to escape and writing makes me free.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
