    FULL MOON

MARY SITS ALONE IN HER ROOM

A FULL MOON IS IN THE SKY

IN THE STILLNESS OF THE NIGHT

    SHE STOPS TO REFLECT

    AND HEARS A SOFT WHISPER

    A SAD, LONELY VOICE

    STRAINING TO BE HEARD

OVER THE STATIC OF PAIN AND REGRET

    SOMEWHERE IN THE SORDID PAST

    WHEN IT ASKED:

    WILL YOU REMEMBER ME?

the agony of wondering if the one once loved, will be remembered...

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
