FRIENDS
FRIENDS
Friends are like rains
Though it beats the earth
And changes the chart
Though it gets the sky darkening
And sends the market women packing
Though it wets the street skin
And thrills the street pikin
Though it makes the roofs wail
And imprisons people without bail
Though it makes the plant to shiver
And overflows the river
Though it spoils the launderer’s day
And garrisons the hauler’s pay
Though it worries the hawking Mama,,
Fervently sueing to end its drama.
Keeps the world and aves in their holes
Lest be laundered by its watery poles.
Though it draws a curtain over the sun
And stuns the sphere till it’s done
Saying Mr. Big Bright eyes, I beg your pardon.
Friends like a pot
containing my faults without leaking
Friends like fire,
Burning off crudeness to an exquisite twinkling
I walked down the street end
To say ‘Hi’ to a friend I once offend
We hugged with passion. I said, ‘What’s up?’
‘The blue sky’ he said with a tear drop.
‘What’s brought you hence?’ he asked with a smile grain
‘Of course it’s the rain’
Friends are like rains
Though it beats the earth
And changes the chart
Though it gets the sky darkening
And sends the market women packing
Though it wets the street skin
And thrills the street pikin
Though it makes the roofs wail
And imprisons people without bail
Though it makes the plant to shiver
And overflows the river
Though it spoils the launderer’s day
And garrisons the hauler’s pay
Though it worries the hawking Mama,,
Fervently sueing to end its drama.
Keeps the world and aves in their holes
Lest be laundered by its watery poles.
Though it draws a curtain over the sun
And stuns the sphere till it’s done
Saying Mr. Big Bright eyes, I beg your pardon.
Friends like a pot
containing my faults without leaking
Friends like fire,
Burning off crudeness to an exquisite twinkling
I walked down the street end
To say ‘Hi’ to a friend I once offend
We hugged with passion. I said, ‘What’s up?’
