For Granted
We take so much for granted
Always looking for a ship that hasn't landed
Wanting things we could never have
When in reality our life isn't so bad
But we are too busy missing what we think we want
Neglecting the things that we got
Once you realize, it's too late
It is then time slips away
There's nothing left to say
You are standing over looking the edge
To be better and appreciate what you have is what you pledge
But death has knocked on your door
Leaving your body lying on the bathroom floor
You are all alone because you pushed every one away
Always looking for that perfect ship that will never come especially today
Your time has come and gone
No matter what, it's too late to right your wrongs
Time was taken for granted
Always looking for a ship that has never landed
Wanting things you could never have
Now it's too late, but you realized who you were with wasn't half bad
Always looking for a ship that hasn't landed
Wanting things we could never have
When in reality our life isn't so bad
But we are too busy missing what we think we want
Neglecting the things that we got
Once you realize, it's too late
It is then time slips away
There's nothing left to say
You are standing over looking the edge
To be better and appreciate what you have is what you pledge
But death has knocked on your door
Leaving your body lying on the bathroom floor
You are all alone because you pushed every one away
Always looking for that perfect ship that will never come especially today
Your time has come and gone
No matter what, it's too late to right your wrongs
Time was taken for granted
Always looking for a ship that has never landed
Wanting things you could never have
Now it's too late, but you realized who you were with wasn't half bad
