Fear
When I sleep
I fear the monsters
That hide in the dark
I don’t know what they want
They call my name when I sleep
They creep into my dreams
They tell me things I don’t want to hear,
Their screaming voices saying
take your life.
They won’t end the insanity
That I go through
Every night when the lights go out
They make me cry
They never stop!
And neither will I
The Fear will never go away
The Fear will stay
When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
