    Poem Commentary

I wrote this poem three years ago, and this past year entered it into The World Poetry Movement, and was selected as a semi-finalist, and had this poem published in the book. So exciting I must say.

    Can You Spell Love

Will you tell me you love me

When all the pain has gone away.

    When the roses bloom

    And the green grass sways.

    When the rain is falling

    You wouldn’t stop calling.

    You made me smile

All though we were miles apart.

    The messages stayed

    Locked away in my heart.

I will never let them go

    Even when you are gone,

    I will remember you

    I love you.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
