falling from afar

leaves.. falling, falling..
appropriate for calling.. stalling..

convievence is a statue
she stands alone in acid rain
and leaves.. a stain

leaves and falling
simply to refrain
from that
which never was
or will ever be
a residue
a fantasy
the limburge baby
that was me

abstract
as beatiful
as it is ugly
paradox
as simple
as it complicates
sitting smugly

confidence is quite insecure
thankyou sir
bless you sir
love her.. sure

i am a honey web
created in the shadows
nurished by the wild
in all of natures flowers

catching silly bugs
i can play with them for hours
till sweet spider comes a calling
i protect them in their falling

i morph into a vessel
i am catching all the leaves
that fall from stately hands
hands to fine for me to reach

those hands have built a tower
one window and one door
i know which one iam
for i am high above the floor

the door.. she makes me nervous
for she'll never look to see
the secret pa{i)ne i have been keeping
the treasure of a tree..
even if i opened to her
the truth in all his glory
my essense would still be wanting
happy endings to her story

each line i write has meaning
many meanings without end
and i shall love forever
the one i call my friend

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
