    Fallen Angel

When you made your decent my heart was the first to know,
beating profusely, blood started to flow.
I've waited years patiently for you to make your appearance,
and not let any negativity become interference.
Could it be possible that my dreams have come true?
I've prayed many a night for god to send you.
Your beauty's Angelic as you stand before me,
and thine eyes are truly blessed as they gaze upon thee.
Since birth our paths have been destined to intertwine,
now the dance begins as our souls combine.
Enduring the years, I've been tested to deal with my fate,
and life has groomed me ideally to be your soul mate.
We now stand together no longer abroad,
    forever incorporated, ordained by God.
Although expected yet still hard to believe,
My life can now begin, my fallen angel's been received.

What a beautiful, lyrical poem you have written here. Love the imagery and Isn't it true that in many ways we are all fallen angels only redeemed by God's grace. Thanks for sharing.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
