    EROS' GLADIATOR

    Unsheathe your sword
    Draw it from its scabbard
    I challenge you to a
    Duel until your haggard.
    Thrust, parry, stroke, and strike
Deftly spring aside least my lance you it spikes
Aargh! I’m not as nimble this summer’s day
You hit me this time, I darest not run away
Hmm! What more can I say
Your love has come to stay.

Interesting. I picked up on a lot of sexual imagery; I don't know if it was supposed to be that way, but I think it works with the ending of the poem. Also an interesting description of falling in love (at least that's what I'm assuming, since the last line is "your love has come to stay" and because the title references Eros).

I rate you and you rate me

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
