    Engendered

    Engendered

    Darkest twilight befell my vanity
whence I gazed intently into your Pierian orbs

I forsook all mediocrity being enrapt therein those soulful depths,
    hopelessly absorbed

Like the cunning corsair I became,

enchanted by the fabled siren of yore

    I was shipwrecked and awash
    along a mystifying, alluvial shoal
yet I feared not this delightful heaven unchartered,

one that inexplicitly beckoned to be explored
a coast-to-coast, chorus of windswept waves chanted stirringly, only you I adore, adore, adore

    Your alluring eyes, my love,

are as extraordinary saturations of azure skies accenting sunbursts vibrantly

You inspire destiny my love, I am irrefutably your swain
your eyes shimmer with the splendor of pearls fated to besot the heart of any forsworn libertine

I rendered to you my engendered spirit albeit insanity
I have viewed the universe through your mythical, Pierian orbs and hence eternity

    Together lets set sail
from Pierian shore to shore for all infinity

Beautiful! your writings takes me to medieval times when words had power and mystique.Makes me want to stow away on a ship.

    Thank you.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
