elusive slumber

elusive slumber

as i sit tired and weary
looking at the world so dreary
wanting the darkness to take me in its fold
wondering if i will feel the cold
longing for the slumber that doesn't come
a long earned sleep with no promise of sun
i sigh and strech to clear my head
its not my time for eternal bed

though short but it describes your inner feelings.Sometimes, I feel that too when I have so much caffeine during the day.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
