    Egotistic Lives

    I see you people there,

But do you see me here?

Why are we so much different?

    If that's thee issue.

    I see differently

    The motion in people action

    The change in people mines

You can not image the greed of

Descriptions that form my in my head.

The wealthy help out the selfish

The selfish is still what they are

Impolite to life, as death owes

    Them.

    Utterance of ones declaration

Where were we created, or why?

    Immortal attitudes and traits

    Becoming of beings but, how?

    What controls one entity?

    Confession of a perplex essence

    Trouble by an unknown source

    Subject to exile.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
