    Dreams

A wailing scream of gut wrenched cry
Soaring the wind in a dream filled sky
Brings to mind a haunting past
Filled with the pain, where the horrors last
No sun or moon to light my way
I try to call….to hear you say
That you’re doing better…and not the same
That you made it out of that demon’s game

A world beneath the one we see
Devoid of laughter, joy or glee
I knew you once…that day far past
And even then we thought we’d last

I knew it was over before it began
But never stopped to try to regain
The feelings lost, to return the pain
I ask you now to think of me
    To remember yourself and
    Changed please be

I never thought to ask you why…
The lights went out of that shadowy sky
And now I sit, to think inside
I hope she made it, ignoring the call beside

    The mind we know
    And use each day
Corrupted in ways we could never say
I miss you more than time its self
I do, however, wish you best of health

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
