    DOUBLE CONSCIENCE

    DOUBLE CONSCIENCE

WE LIVE IN A WORLD FULL OF GOOD AND BAD(A WORLD OF CONFUSION),WE PRAY FOR HOPE AND HAPPINESS-BUT,DEAL WITH PROBLEMS AND ILLUSIONS.

WE PRETTY MUCH KNOW WHAT'S WRONG AND WHAT'S RIGHT,BUT SOMETIMES- THE TWO INTERTWINE,AND LEAVES US THINKING HOW CAN SOMETHING SO WRONG FEEL SO RIGHT.

THE TEMPTATION, OF LIFE'S COMPLICATIONS, SET US ASIDE FROM POSITIVE SITUATIONS--SO,SOMETIMES OUR HEARTS SPEAKS DIFFERENTLY FROM OUR MINDS,AND THIS IS HOW LIFE'S CONFUSION BEGIN TO COMBINE.

WE HAVE THE FEELING TO DO WHAT'S RIGHT,BUT DUE TO THE CHALLENGES WE BARE IN LIFE,SOMETIMES IT'S HARD TO JUST DO RIGHT--SO,INSTEAD OF TALKING WE CHOOSE TO FIGHT,INSTEAD OF UNITING WE CHOOSE TO DIVIDE,IT'S JUST THAT CONFUSION THAT LIES INSIDE.

THIS IS OUR CONSCIENCE THAT WE'RE FACED WITH IN LIFE,SO YOU TELL ME,HOW DO WE DECIDE-TO AVOID WRONG DOING-WHEN BAD CAN FEEL SO GOOD AND AT TIMES WRONG CAN FEEL SO RIGHT.

You speak of the human condition. If it wasn't for that stupid apple we would be all good right now!!! Great piece. I like how it rambles and hits the same points numerous times. It reads exactly how the human mind works...in circles. I don't know if that was by design but I like it none the less. If you get some time, check me out... Got a hot one called Corners you might like.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
