    Don't Want to Say Goodnight

    After nightfall,
    Between the walls,
    Before midnight,
Inside her looking for her might.
    Past the mountains,
Under the sunrise by beautiful fountains,
    Throughout the night and day,
About to hear what she is going to say.
    Beneath the rents,
    We still have common sense.
    During the conversation,
    Before the temptations,
    Into the night,
Above the grounds our parents make us say goodnight.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
