Do You Want My Love.

Do You Want My Love.   March 1983

Do you want me for your lover
or am I just wasting my time.
I hope that you will tell me soon
before I lose my mind.
Do you want e for my heart
oh is it me you think of.
Do you need me, like I need you
do you want my love.

Id shower you with everything
until you are content.
Give you everything you need
til all my money's spent.
Show you everything I need
the things I long to feel.
Give you love of all my heart
if you would make it real.

Do you want my love so bad,
oh do you want my heart.
Just let me know, I'll be so glad
Oh do you want my love.
Do you now, oh do you girl
oh do you want my heart.
Do you, do you do you baby
do you want my love.

Empty dreams on sleepless nights
such cold and lonely days.
If only you would be with me
to help me count the ways.
All the ways, that I could show you
that I love you so.
If you do, I'll never stop
I'll always let you know.

A love that feels so good
it seems like just a dream to me.
LOve so good, its made me blind
all though my heart can see.
Many times Ive felt the pain
of an empty broken heart.
Cause all those times I fell in love
well they always fell apart.

Baby you could be the one
I think you are so fine.
Maybe you could be the girl
to make my love light shine.
I know its me your thinking of
youre sweet and your so fine.
I know its you, the one I love
youre always on my mind.

Thank You CJ : ) Im glad you liked this poem. And yes, all of my poems based on this subject come from my heart.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
