    Distance

It’s the distance that keeps us apart
It’s the distance that pains my heart
But it’s the distance that lets you see so clear
That the distance is what you hold so dear.
Cause the distance helps you stand real strong
Even if the distance seems so very long
When the distance becomes too much to take
Can the distance be all you can make
The more distance you have the better you feel
Cause the distance you have helps you deal.
With the distance comes time to think
And the chance to have another drink.
So here’s to distance you mite say
And the distance to face another day.
If I am to be distant to what you say
It’s the distance that keeps me away.
So with insistence there’s something I must do
eliminate the distance between the me and you.

I can relate to this. This is very good writing.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
