    Poem Commentary

there is no time that is too late to start someting new and good.

    DEAD PAST

i bury my past deep down in the ground

where fate can reach it not.

i dust my hands of its dirt and hope for tomorrow's sun.

i increase my pace to go

far far away from it so that i may drown it

    in my wave of life.

    like the lord told lot

i will not look back lest its ghost recognise my face

    and haunt me tll eternity.

i bury my past deep in the ground

so that i can look forward to a brighter day

when i shall write new songs day by day

and watch the mist clear from my morning

and the dark skies reveal my moonlite.

i bury my past far away from me

so that i may not see its mound

and remember that i had some pains to forget
