Darkness In Light
How can darkness exist where there is light?
Sad eyes gleam while I smile,
I’m hiding behind my own disgrace.
My mind is racing for miles.
Pain stems from those dearest to me. Please walk away, quickly.
My anger kept me at large; my ego told me I was in charge.
I begged and barked to be alone.
But around others still I roamed.
I want no one around to see, I want to be in a room with only me.
How can darkness exist when there is light?
I’m weary and tired, where was my might?
I’m floating in a sea of feelings.
Responsibility has anchored me.
I wasn’t willing to fight but i'll have to make my decision tonight.
I found myself in the grey areas of life between what is wrong and what is right?
My head is hurting but I must remain strong.
People say that they see the God in me, but beyond my face still lies me.
I am with him and he is with me.
Yet there is something that people do not see!
Darkness where there is light!
