Darkest Before Dawn
It's always darkest,
Before the dawn,
When everyone's asleep,
Including our spawn.
Yet our soul's remain awake,
Drifting through the empty night,
Searching for paths hidden,
From our own plain sight.
Some paths are dark,
Others hold promise,
Some are to difficult,
And require an accomplice.
When a path has been chosen,
It is up to the mind,
To follow with your heart,
Or continue on blind.
If you stay determined,
You will surely succeed,
But if unsure of your path,
I warn you to take heed.
If your path is true,
Your soul will find it's way back,
If your path is false,
Your soul will lose it's track.
If your soul becomes lost,
It is completely up to you,
To find your true path,
And guide it back to you.
Because if you are to die,
While your soul remains lost,
Your spirit will remain behind,
Due to this awful cost.
It's always darkest,
Before the dawn,
While we are asleep,
Our souls carry on.
Before the dawn,
When everyone's asleep,
Including our spawn.
Yet our soul's remain awake,
Drifting through the empty night,
Searching for paths hidden,
From our own plain sight.
Some paths are dark,
Others hold promise,
Some are to difficult,
And require an accomplice.
When a path has been chosen,
It is up to the mind,
To follow with your heart,
Or continue on blind.
If you stay determined,
You will surely succeed,
But if unsure of your path,
I warn you to take heed.
If your path is true,
Your soul will find it's way back,
If your path is false,
Your soul will lose it's track.
If your soul becomes lost,
It is completely up to you,
To find your true path,
And guide it back to you.
Because if you are to die,
While your soul remains lost,
Your spirit will remain behind,
Due to this awful cost.
It's always darkest,
Before the dawn,
While we are asleep,
Our souls carry on.
