    Dark Jewels of Light

Two deep, smooth pearls of delight
    Watching with wonder
As a story unfolds before her
Like a book of sheer insight

    Dark waves of desire
Flowing as a river of dreams
Styled with a touch of the black rose
Finishes the veil of royalty so it seems

    Complicated complexion is an idea
For a new flavor of character, spicy vanilla
Tinted only with a hint of strawberry
Creating an exciting taste of a master blend

Her mind filled with goals and values
Slowly filtering the sights and sounds
Picked up as she scans the scenes of her life
With two dark jewels of light

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
