This one is interesting. I get my own images and thoughts from my memories past coming up when I read it.

taking that as a compliment. It is difficult to convey the image of the depth of feeling of the moment, so thanks for the validation.

I must say, it has been awhile since I have read a well written piece that is short yet poetically admirable. I must aak you if you have written any longer works Amos because I cannot imagine such energu going into just the haiku form. A beautiful and charming piece.

Helios- imagine. . . thank you for the compliment. I write just haiku. the intensity is there in a breath, and felt in a blow. What is left is a respiration of another's reality wrapped around the reader's heart; just as it was around the poet's. they (haiku) are draining when the totality of "the moment" is realized/articulated whilst penning.

I response you have given is one of the beauty of the world captured in a stroke of a pen. No form of poetry can replace the goal of a poet to achieve unity with the sublime.

Ah yes, that song that seems at first part of our dream and fades with our unconsciousness. The bridge between two worlds. Another 10 Amos...

Thanks, cookie. .......................................................

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
