crux

screamin' on the inside

hide it on the outside.

tears start flowing as words keep pouring.

does everyone know?

does it really show?

why bother askin'

need some mental maskin'

tape it up

can't let it show.

got a life to live, and one to form

what to do when it gets too much?

walk a straight line

feet cut up and bleeding

the line's too fine for these tender feet.

desperately in need of some kind of shoes

too straight for drugs,

too aware for insanity,

too proud to be naive.

gotta do it on my own

live my life alone

no one in this empty shell but me

GOD, SET ME FREE
