Courting Again the Old Man's Pride

Courting Again the Old Man's Pride

though nostalgia ought be reconsidered,
and angst be perused twice onwards the second thought,
i guess feelings better be chained to dungeons of
oblivion, while time befriends truce...
truce that may quell the blinding rage
that has been a daily shadow to this tramp...

and though it was the ghost
of ages ago that looms in view,
i ask for that ever flowing kindness
that brought lots of inspirations to many a heart,
to once again be given ...
given to this repentant soul...

life's zenith is that happiness that ceases not,
as rainbows paints them hue when a soul is born again,
and second chances say " I know my redeemer lives..."
life's hope is that hope welling up to the nth line
of a faithful song, saying "God is good all the Time,...
Yes... God is good all the time..."

well, I'm no fool clinging to nostalgia's arms,
all i am is but a soul...a soul once full of ethereal pride,
yet now seeks for God's love, this love i once knew
brought me here, and this love i knew will take me home,
so just like any ordinary...repentant soul,

I come...

courting again, the old man's pride.

This is a great poem-very well written.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
