    Convictim of myself

Individuals fall victim to a system design to keep us in line by their rules/ young fools beef over beef and noodles on plates/ while old fools escape from behind parallel bars with stories of bar room memories and unclaimed glory/ show me the wings of time im riding with no destination and ill pluck all her feathers/ that way ill never see tomorrow/ and if I could borrow time/ id waste it like wine after a toast to the future/ incarcerated minds are like hollow point bullets for father time/ who will shoot you with these hollow points to point out the hollow points of your life/ jail bars leave jail scars on the brain/ and im trying to maintain once my freedom return but I remain in the same frame of mind/I GOTTA GET MINE/ but my mind is getting got/ on the same blocks/ with the same rocks/ counting the same knot/ that put me behind these same locks on gates/ thoughts of escape occur while looking out the window bored at free folk in the sun/ who never seen the inside of a courtroom/ and proberly never will/ I watch them while I chill behind these steel bars/ surrounded by ghetto superstars/ with scars caused from hard times/ dangerous minds do dangerous crimes then dangerous time follows/ I know what they do/ getting touched in a battle while their knuckles rattle/ when they box on their shadows complection/ whats the connection between jail and black men?/ cell blocks and blocks to sell on both are filled with black skin...

This needs to be a song man, it would sound bad a$$. Much better then reading it. Thats just teh way it flows n sh!t

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
