    COLD HEART

    My heart has grown cold,
of his lies I've been told.
The pain in my heart is deep,
but he will never see me weep.
He turned our love into a thing of shame,
    him forever I shall blame.
For my heart will never be the same.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
