Chances

How many chances can
you unfurl?
Reflection, based in
your mind uncurls.
A surreal life fought
on the surface.
burning me like the touch of
a furnace.
Well for us it's like a
train on the right track.
This is a fact.
We've come too far, to ever look
back.
Knowledge, a hunger for which
you still lack.
We must cut away the fat.
Teach those who's shoulders you pat.
Sun shines on each of our faiths.
Holding together, never displaced.
weep for the worlds disgrace.
Still content with the human race?
Or a wagon of truth shall you embrace?

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
