    Carved out Wings

    A simple block of wood;

    These two hands;

    Whittling,

    Chipping,

    Carving,

    New designs discovered.

    The gifts you gave to us;

    Grinded by your faith,

    Honed from your hopes,

    We hold forever in our hearts.

    Now may the wings

    You carved yourself,

    Guide you to happiness

    Forever more.

    ----

    (Written in memory of my Great Uncle who had passed away during this last summer, he was a good and kind man who loved to carve out small and big items, they were all beautiful as well as cute. He gave them as gifts to everyone in the small town, not just family members)

    If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
