Carry Me
He can't seem to understand.
he sits and wonders why.
He's sensitive, he's kind
he's that sort of man,
He kneels and lets out a sigh.
The world around him is so cruel,
un-worthy, and so tough.
But all he wants is a chance
to be a diamond in the rough.
He's made some wrong turns in life,
and is willing to pay the price.
But would like nothing more than
a second start in life.
He tries and tries so very hard
to take to heart what is right.
And sits down to read a poem
and ponders it thru the night.
"Footprints" is what the poem is named
and is placed and sealed and framed.
It talks of some sand, a man, and
a single set of prints.
It's true he set aside the time
to ponder, re-think, and pray
To ask his heavenly Father for help
to carry him along the way!
he sits and wonders why.
He's sensitive, he's kind
he's that sort of man,
He kneels and lets out a sigh.
The world around him is so cruel,
un-worthy, and so tough.
But all he wants is a chance
to be a diamond in the rough.
He's made some wrong turns in life,
and is willing to pay the price.
But would like nothing more than
a second start in life.
He tries and tries so very hard
to take to heart what is right.
And sits down to read a poem
and ponders it thru the night.

To ask his heavenly Father for help
to carry him along the way!
