    Can You Remember This Day?

Fresh clear water running on the sidewalk from a water hose, as children run and slide on the wet grass in their bathing suits.

Laughing and playing as they slide on the grass layered with green plastic, smoke dancing in the wind from the barbecue grill, filled with hot dogs and hamburgers, simmering in the heat.

Grown ups sitting around the table playing cards and drinking tea, boasting about who has the highest scoreand who's going to win.

While a football game is blaring from the big screen T.V. in the living room that the guys are watching as they sit there praying that no one will interrupt, as the light outside gets dimmer all the activities begin to subside. Can you remember this day?

its like remembering a first date.. cute poem. =]

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
