Can it be?

Can it be?

Wondering aimlessly day and night,

Sometimes thinking I have no energy to keep up the fight.

Now beginning to sadden with deep feelings of pain,

Hoping one day things will be the same.

Hurt now followed by many upsets,

Unable to take back those many regrets.

Feelings of wrong doings from the past,

Trying to figure out just how long will this last.

Crying out loud for this pain to go away,

Asking the Lord, "why is it that I must pay."

Lonely nights, never ending days,

My life has become one big maze.

Hope now replaced with feelings of despair,

Yearning to feel love, a relationship to share.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
