Broken Wing

I never thought I could hurt this much
But then again I never thought I'd be with out your touch
This feelings so surreal
I am doubting that I would ever feel
Gnawing & gnashing my body doth despair
Pain in abundance sprinkled with fear
My heart so battered nothing could compare
I've lost you & ought not to care

The birds I'm sure sang their song
Babies were born, bathes given
Life has continued marching on
Doth this pain my soul forever seek
Was it brought about to make me meek
Was I too sure with in your embrace
Did I your sweetness was not to partake
What folly doth my heart keepsake

Wailing my heart exposed
Battled scared with sores & holes
I cry for what was & what might of been
I grieve for who I was under your wing
The skies dark, cramping, smothering within
I can hear the rumbling as the night begins
No where to turn no where to hide
Slumping to my knees I give in to defeat
